A non-profit professional confederation established by approval of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia, with its founding meeting held in December 2022, and headquartered in the Kingdom. It brings together thirteen internal audit institutes and associations in Arab countries and is the only regional organization recognized by The Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA) for the Arab region.

ARABCIA is The IIA's recognized regional body for the Arab region. It operates within The IIA's global network, represents its member institutes before The IIA, and carries the Global Internal Audit Standards and guidance into Arabic.
